You can do anything if you have the fabrication skills.

Course, these don't look too far off. B&M also has more that can kinda look like a stick. You could always do away with the console that tells you which gear you're in for the total look.

im sure you could get a different, more plain shift **** and put a shift boot around it if you really wanna look like a manual.

Ok, here's what I did. I had a 5spd in my car, but the driverside fender was recently hit, very hard, by a deer. While i was driving late one night, a deer ran head first into the fender, right at the firewall. The force was so great, it put a stress crack around the clutch cable hole. I didn't notice it right away, fixed the fender, and drove like that for a while. Eventually the clutch stopped engaging, and I would be left stranded or driving around flat shifting. After several failed attempts at having body shops and friends fabricate reinforcement plates and welding the firewall, I gave up and put a SSP AOD in and called it quits. I took the stock 5spd Shifter, and the AOD shifter, chopped the top off, about 4" off of both shifters. Removed all the components from the Automatic Shifter, cut the gear stop tab off, and welded the top of the 5spd shifter onto the Shaft of the Auto shifter. Used the 5spd bezel, shift **** and shift boot. It looks just like a 5spd, works like a Auto, lol. It looks good.

here are pics of the shifter. I might end up shortening the shifter another Inch or Two later on, but it still looks good and works perfectly.
