Tinting the Windows.
Hi guys, just want to say thanks for helping me out onall myother post, I really appreciate it. anyway, I went to get my windows tinted on my Mustang a few days ago. Looks really nice, got a 5% tint. well, I noticed a little dimple, like an indentation of a rock on the front windshield of my car driving home today. Its like a little tiny *** rock hit it at a high speed, and theres no CRACK, theres just like a crater or divet where the rock hit and warped the glass because it hit at such a high speed. Well, my question is , are there Glass Auto Shops they can fix little minor scratches/cracks in the windshields?? or do you Just have to buy another? Oh and yes, would these be affected by the tints? Is the tint inside the windshield where it shouldnt be a problem? I'm also now to familiar with the whole tinting system, this is my first car that I have gotten tints for, but, the front windshield didnt really even look different went I brought it home, it didnt seem like they put a tint on it is what |I mean. Do they tint the front windshields, because my other windows are 5%(really ****ing dark) and the front is dark, but it still has that 04' pony sun strip and looked like they really didnt put a tint on it. anyway, Thanks

RE: Tinting the Windows.
there should be people in your area that do repairs on chipped glass. most of them will come to you and fix it while you are at work or whatever. they can do it right there in the parking lot. and im pretty sure there is no tint at all on your front windshield. i think it is illegal in most (if not all) states to tint your front windshield. it prob just seems darker in the car because there is less light getting in there from the other windows being tinted.
