Make sure the fuel lines are connected right. You might pull the fuel line and have someone crank it over while you put a finger over the end of the line. You should feel air pressure pushing against your finger.

It'd be safer to put the fuel line into a container that can hold the gas so you can see if there's gas flowing. Putting your finger over the end of the line with gas and pressure will cause it to squirt all over, and can get into your eyes or airways...neither of which are really things you want.

I often use a bread tie, (twistie tie) after using a lighter to burn off the paper/plastic, you are left with a thin wire. Disassemble the carb and use the wire to free the passages in your jets, pump sprayers, VENT HOLES (in the body itself) and any other orifices that are necessary to provide proper carburetion. Use a can of carb cleaner to make sure the passages are clean by spraying through each passage to ensure fluid flows freely. You don't necessarily have to put the tie all the way through the passage in most cases as the blockage is at the orifice. Make sure all orifices are fully open, but DO NOT USE ANYTHING OR DO ANYTHING THAT MAY OPEN THEM UP MORE THAN THE ORIGINAL SIZE HOLE!
