No heat
Burping? what do you mean, and how? if you mean the cooling system I would assume I did that when I put in the new thermostat yesterday. The temp gauge runs about halfway between cold and the middle. By the way it is a 4 cylinder if that makes a difference.
Nobody mentions the heater valve? There are vacuum actuated valves installed in the heater hoses on many cars that close to obstruct coolant flow to the heater core when selected by the internal controls. a broken vacuum line, defunct controls, or even a faulty control valve coule be the culprit. Look for a strange looking gizmo installed in your heater hoses somewhere between your engine and the firewall and bypass it and then check for heat in your car after it reaches normal operating temperature. Also check for vacuum at the vacuum line while controls are set to heat. Check your vacuum lines and connections and replace the valve if it is faulty. ( a simple bypass would get you heat for the winter, but proper functionality of your climate control system may require more.)

Not sure if this would be a good test or not but... disconnect the 2 heater hoses from the engine & attach one to a garden hose. Turn the hose on LIGHT PRESSURE & see if the water starts coming out the other hose. If not, something is plugged
Might be a dumb question - but not knowing the history of the car - did it have heat at any point you've owned it? I ask that because I've seen some guys who think having coolant circulating in the heater core somehow robs them of HP, so they by pass it completely right at the firewall. If you bought the car this Spring/Summerand haven't had to run the heat yet, you might not have noticed it until now.
sounds like you need to replace the heater core. thats the only place that will allow antifreeze inside the vehicle they rot out all the time. they are a bitch to get to on different vehicles most of the time it entails pulling the dash partly out to get to the heater core. Is the bottom inside of your winshield lightly coated with anti-freeze as well?
some heater cores you can get away with taking out the glove box and cutting the upper part of the plastic box that the heater core is inside of and replace it alot quicker then ripping the entire dash off.

Alright, I burped the coolent system and verified the cable is moving when I turn the climate control ****. Still no heat. The heater hoses have not been bypassed....but...The one coming from the water pump is hot, but the one coming off the thermostat is cool.
