Default No heat

I have no hot air coming from the vents in my 90 mustang. Any thoughts? I live in Central Oregon and this car will be undrivable without heat or defrost.

Does the heat/cold dial on the dash feel like it's attached to anything? Maybe that cable has busted

Check your coolant also. I found that if my coolant was low there wouldn't be enough to fill the heater core and it would blow lukewarm air at best. It is most likely the cable though.

Coolent is full and it feels as though the cable is connected and working as there is resistence when you turn the dial.

I suppose it is slightly warmer then outside. Is there a "schematic" for the heat system? At least that way I can check one thing at a time until I get it going.

My 88 is doing the same. The AC blows very cold but the heat is not so hot. Not sure why.

could be a faulty thermostat, keeping your motor from reaching operating temperature.Do you have a temperature gauge in your car?If it's not in the operating range, change the the thermostat.

try burping the system, usually if you get an air pocket in the system one of the first signs is no heat. Also is the car getting up to rormal operating temp?
