Default Front Ball Joints help

I know my front ball joints are shot, the grease boot is torn up and I can hear them squeaking while turning the wheeland duringsuspension travel, my question is could shot ball joints be making the ride much more harsh over rough pavement or is that just the nature of my tokico struts?I bought steeda x2's and plan on installing them soon so I will know the answer eventually, just thinking alot about it. Also is there any trickyness to replacing them or is it pretty straight forward and only require basic tools?

They are easy to replace, you will need a ball joint press and preferably an impact gun, I wouldn't wanna do it without one.
