Default 1979 Mustang Price ???

I know someone who has a 1 owner 1979 Mustang with the V8. It's a garaged kept car and has around 50,000 original miles. What do you think the car is worth? I am considering buying too either keep for my kids or drive for a while.

Wow my 2nd Mustang was a '79. That's pretty low miles for that year of car. So the mileage is good, but how is the rest of the car? Can't tell a fair prices byjust knowing the year & mileage...

It's cherry! No rust, garage kept and it's really nice. Does that help?

why don't you check an online used car website like autotrader.com for similar cars see how much they're selling for?

Or at least post a pic of the car that'll help us see what your talking about

Indy Pace Car going for 13.5 on eBay, 73,000 miles. It's from a dealer. For the one you want, considering it's just a regular mustang (never mind the V8 man), and that it's from owner, it should be much less.

If that pace car was from owner instead of dealer it would be 9 or 10 grand. Now, your mustang is a regular mustang. No, there is no value in engine or how cherry it is. The only value to that is what you give it, and seller will play that. In my opinion that car should be between 4 and 6 grand.

That said, my 01 is a great car, it costs right now about 9 grand at best. But I wouldn't sell it for 20.

It is a price you willing to give to that car. 1979? What's so special about that? Never mind the V8, that year model 5.0 wasn't a good one. Transmission wasn't a good one, and the rear end wasn't a good one. There is nothing special about that mustang, just a regular mustang. Unless you have some special memories or emotions that would give it that special value?

There's nothing special too me, except, it's a really nice car and I growing up I always liked that 1st year they changed. I owned a LX 5.0 93 convertible and really loved that ride. It was an auto too and that's not a big deal too me, I could change it anytime. This car just seemed like a good deal and I figured I would just drive it very little and try and sell it. Maybe I can trade it for something, I would love an old GM with T-tops something from the 70's. At least it would be 3-6k for something else. I think I am going too buy this car. Being I know that man and he's 200% trustworthy, he say's it still runs like new, I see it a few times a week and it's exactly what a garage keptcar with that milage should look like. It should be able too still burn those tires off, was that a posi car? Now I got too check, I wonder, hope so[sm=nxsmile.gif]
