just bought a timing adjuster from mac and i set it on 14 degress and when im in 5 gear the car like bogs down, so i turned it back a few degress and it did the same thing so i put it back on 0 (really 10 degrees) and it has been running fine. I thought 14 was the highest. Maybe im doing something wrong? Help would be great. Thanks

Did you try it at 12? Some cars are picker than others.

 

what octane are you running? go to some 93 or highest you have

 

im running 93 and yes i even tried retarding it

 

the check engine light just blinks when i drive

 

That's messed up about all that stuff. Did you pretty much empty your tank before you filled up with the high octane fuel? Maybe there's a bad mixture that's making your check engine light go crazy and bog your car down.

its seems like when i get on it runs great until i get in 5th on the highway and it seems like it looses like 20 horsepower and then it restores it like a minute later and it does that until i turn the car off. But if i just cruise the car that wont happen? I don tknow im thinking about just taking it off.

 

Yeah take it down a couple degrees I guess.
