my buddy has a set of nitto 555 from his trans am 275/40/17 would these be a good tire to put on my stang i plan on supercharging soon and im already having traction issuses. they ahve about 500 miles on them what would be a good price to offer

If you have factory 17s (17x8) then that is the widest you can go for tires. Brand new they are $143 each shipped. If you have wider wheels like 17x10...then i'd do 305s. They'll look real nice on there too.

 

ive got 17x9s on the back ill have to see how much i can get them for. Should i be looking for somthing with a taller side wall?

 

No. Anything over 45s look like truck tires on the car in my opinion. It'll also throw your speedo off.

245/45
255/45
265/40
275/40
285/40

 

555's as in street tires?

i have the street one's and they suck.

if i roll out then mash it i spin top of 1st, brake loose going into second and chirp 3rd(on street)

at the track i spin all tha way to the top of 2nd

buy the 555r's

 

Only Nittos I'd buy would be the 555Rs, the regular 555s aren't worth it imo.

 

go with some mt et streets... those 555 suck you will spin all over the place
