Default 2.3 vs GT

I'm looking at a halfway respectable little 4cyl car that I am planning on dropping the 351 out of my 79 cougar into. Now for my question what differnce other than the motor itself, do the 2.3 cars and 5.0's have,the car is an 89

You'll need new suspension, motor mounts, tranny, trannymounts, driveshaft,rear end, spindles, wiring harness (for EFI, you might be able to get away without it if you're carbed, but if there are emission sensors it may not work), gauges (2.3L gauges only went to 85mph, GT goes to 120, IIRC) and new speedo cable/gears. I think that's about it.

It can be done, with money and patients. It's not just a simple drop and drive swap.
