Hey! I only joined this forum right now to ask this question. All of you who are having trouble with the shaker system skipping and kicking out your disk with the "bad disk" message. Mine is ding the same thing, when I talked to the dealer, they said that is is covered under warranty but that they will have to take the player out of my car and send it in to get fixed. So I will be without a stereo for about three weeks. Are they yanking my chain or what? couldn't they just install a new one right there? Is this what you guys have had to do?

Not to mention the customer service. Ive had a few problems with my system, but theyve always went away. Still works great.

I am having the same problem. I've already had a replacement put in and it is skipping and won't read CD-R's. I was just told by the dealership that Ford realizes this is a problem. The CD player is so sensitive that it won't play a CD if it has the tiniest scratch. They recommend getting a CD cleaner first and try cleaning the player. I'm not satisfied with that. I spent a lot of money on my car and I want a CD player that works without skipping. Another thing is that the player should be MP-3 capable, but if it won't even play a burned CD, how will it play MP-3's? This car was my dream car and now, I'm getting frustrated.
