With the 4.10s and tires and a tune you should take him pretty easy I'd think, I beat a few auto LT1s when i was running low 14s.

 

how long ago was that? looks like u have a pretty big mod list now!!!! i'm trym to decide also? what u guys think would be better and cheaper in the long run. i'm runnig across cobra motors on e-bay for 1000-5000 range. supercharged and nonsupercharged. or fully building the motor i got with a cobra rotating assembly... considering i'd like to do it under 6000-7000 dollars range. what ya guys think??? my main goal is to keep these birds on the grill and out of the air!!!!!

Depending how far you want to take your car if you have the money I'd definitely go with a DOHC engine, they have a lot more potential than the 2v engines. I'm no mod expert tho, someone else can chime in.

 

aite dude look at all my mods. Well some stupid thigs aren't listed like aluminum driveshaft that doesnt do much, but with my mods and a tune im making 260rwhp i know for a fact if i had longtubes I'd be making 280rwhp. U will have no problem with that car without spray. You should video tape it with and without Nitrous and post the vids up. Im sure that car is a lot heavier then yours also.

 

ya it is.i just got my numbers today 260-302.. without the shot. were shotn it tomorrow. i was hopen my numbers would be about 10-30 hp bigger but i got what i got. i guessme and u are in the same boat. without the gas.... anybody know the hp difference between the new cobra motors that are super charged and non supercharged..99-04....

 

even if it was a stockls1 i think ud have a chance. i ran 8.50s in a 8th with a tune, few bolt-ons and 4.10s and the help of some drag radials and kept with and beat most stock ls1 camaros

 

you'll get him for sure. my buddy has an LT1 also and he wasnt much faster than my stock 01 GT
