Car won start...bad starter ?
Hey guys. I'm having issues with my Stang. I've checked the battery and alternator and they are perfect. Maybe once a week, my car won't start. It doesnt turn over and no lights (outside/interior) dont turn on, not even the stereo turns on. It'll start once I get a jump. One time, I didnt have anyone to jumpstart me, so what I did, was connect the + and - on my battery, took the other ends and touched them together to make sure they sparked. I did that, they sparked, and suddenly my lights inside turned on (door was ajar) so I fired up the Stang and it started. Could it be a bad starter ?

No it's not a bad starter if the lights aren't working either.
It could be something like corroded battery cables, or a thermal fuse popping. But I'm not aware of a thermal fuse that would affect the starting and lights/radio. am not sure.
But I wouldn't blame the starter. If you did that you might as well replace the headlights too if they quit working intermittently lol

Try cleaning the battery terminals, inside and out.
Check for a bad ground. You can do this by using a jumper cable connected to the negative battery terminal and connecting the other end to a ground on the engine. This isn't a 100% positive test but if the starter and other electricals start working when the jumper is hooked up you know what to look for.

There was a "fast" clicking noise coming from underneath the console/dash on the driver side too. Don't know if that helps. I did clean the terminals and inspected the cables. I looked over all the fuses and they seemed okay.
