for gears...500$ is a fair price, i wouldnt pay any more than 600. well worth the money though and +1 go with 410's since ur an auto.

and a tegra type-r (unknown mods) vs. a nearly stock mustang is hard to say who will win. if he can drive and has a few mods theres a good chance he can/will beat you (especially in the top end because of his insane redline and your car bieng an auto). in the end his car is still a ****ty sounding 4 banger that wouldnt survive a 5mph bump into a telephone pole cuz its so flimsy but it doesnt mean it cant be quick.

410s and a tuner with shift points and shift firmness would definately put you up there, and most ricers wouldnt be able to hang. i raced a kid to about 100-110 when my car was bone stock and he had a 240sx with boost and a motor swap and he only had me by about 2 car lengths from a dig (which isnt very impressive to me for a boosted and swapped car).

btw atleast get a K+N drop in for 40$ at o-reillys and remove the silencer if you havent. thats an easy couple horsepower also.

I get this alot. I am 17, and people my age are stupid. My cars not on the road yet, so i ahve been telling everyone that i ahve a 1990 5.0L mustang. There all like awww thats the boxy year for mustangs! and one guy said, ' Oh yea, mustangs really hurt that year, they were weak, they looked like ****! ' And i am like wtf? Wait until you see this beast, the engine will be louder then your subs.

A GT Mustang could easly lose that race. 195 hp 2600 lb car with a 8400 rpm redline vs a 260 hp 3800 lb car with a 5800 rpm redline. Neither one is set in stone as the 'faster' street driven car.
no 2000 Mustang GT ever weighed 3800lbs, come on now. That and redline is pretty irrelevant interms of which car is faster, it only revs to 8400rpm because it's a small engine and makes next to zero torque.

your GT being auto is hurting you the most and you're basically stock. If everything was even I'd say you'd barely take him, but on the street with different drivers it's a toss up. With 4.10s you should take him assuming you have traction.

the dry weight is listed as 3270 give or take a few pounds. add a driver to that, gas, fluids, whatever crap hes got in the car, etc... it could be right around 3800lbs actually (but then u gotta add all that weight to the integra)

Yeah but he said the Mustang weighed that much, and that's not how you weigh a car. And why would I have a few hundred pound weights in my trunk? [&:]
