Default Bad gas?

My car has been sitting for a3-4 months with the same tank of gas in it. I started it up and during warmup it was smoking alot (white smoke). Could this be due to gas that has been sitting in the tank for too long? What else could it be? Thanks

Chris

My guess is it is not the gas, it
is the moisture being heated in the
exhaust. I have gas 4 years old in my stored cars and
it will start, as long as I mix in some premium.

Warm exhaust gases plus cold exhaust pipes equals white smoke.

Take it for a drive. At least 10 minutes and report back with results.

In VERY cold weather the pipes never heat up and even with a fully warmed up engine you can have white smoke.

+1^^^---Any other time you get white smoke, you have a coolant leak/head gasket problem
