Default Will a 429 fit in a fox?

Will it?

Just got my first paycheck at the new job and have money from Christmas, so I want an engine.

I found a 429 for $400, COMPLETE with all acc.

Will it sit right in there type of deal or?

from what i hear it will. i've heard the 460 would go in, but i won't believe that until i see it.

yeah i KNOW it will fit, and have seen a 460 fox before, what im asking is, will it fit without major modifications, will it clear the firewall, engine mounts ect.....

i also found a carbed 302 that runs for $350

your definitely gonna need different motor mounts for it. i'd say it will clear the firewall, but some of the accessories might have to be moved around.

yeah it will take, new mounts, oil pan, headers and thats all I could find that id need to get,

im going to leave the engine at a stock 302 for now then..... when i find one close by and wait to get my 347 done

and 89fstang50, by carbed, It means Carbureted, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carburetor

i don't even know much about a 429 myself anyway. i just know it's a monster of a block.

yeah, i saftied a thunderbird with one in it about a month ago, it was GIANT

i would be kinda worried about buying it with not knowing about them for aftermarket parts

There are a ton of aftermarket 429/460 parts out there. All the swap parts are off the shelf items. Fits with no probs

You'd probably need a taller hood, maybe a 4 inch cowl
