my turn signals wont flash automatically. i can manually flick the lever to make them flash but they wont do it themselves. i know that this is somewhat common. its an 88 gt. any tricks or tips?

Flasher is mounted on the shaft
of the steering column.
Up underneath.

 

yea i figured it would be the flasher but some people told me thats not the problem. my front passenger bulb wont flash either but the bulb is good. i tried it with hazards on and they all flash except for the front passenger so it must either be wrong bulb or a wiring problem. you think flasher is still the reason? if so where is the cheapest place to get one, ive read a few threads where people are saying they were charged 150 for them which is crazy.

 

ok heres the other stuff that happens. when i put my brights on my gauge cluster lights go out, my tach drops dead and the turn signals light up.i never used my brights so i just now noticed it. still think its flasher or faulty wiring? i dont want to buy something that i dont need.anyone else have soemthing liek this happen?let me know

 

ok fixed the signals, not sure what it was but i just went through and redid all the connections and made sure everything was good.
