Default Gears VS. Gas Prices

Hey Guys I got the 01 Mustang GT Auto yea i know it sucks thats why im writing to upgrade. My engine is completly Stock except the Mac Cold Air intake system.I want to put some get up and go in my Stang.I want to Change the Gears Good or Bad Idea? I drive this car enough to be a daily driver,I want to keep a good gas mileage and some different gears.First question is will the gears void a warrenty? I was gonna go with FRPP,everyone says go with the 4:10's since you have the Auto Trans but wont she guzzle the gas then? I was wandering about the 3:73's or 3:55's.Help me what is best for my 01 Mustang GT with an Automatic and for my driving habits. One this elese I dont like is the Car turning more RPM'S isent that hard on the Engine or Trans whats the deal with that?I need to keep my stang in Tip Top.Whats the Air meter size one a Stock 01 GT if anyone knows?

she won't guzzle your gas anymore with 3.73s as 3.27s. the thing that guzzles the gas is you. you have the unf unf with gears and just want to lay in on it. once you get used to it and stop, you'll be right around your old mileage. i just posted about that in another thread. my mileage went down with gears, then it went back up cause i stopped playing all the time.

how do ya figure? i just did some nice highway driving over the weekend. i'd say it's still the same as before. once i get to the speed, it's noice. i'd think city gets lower since it's constant stop and go. if you aren't playing with the car and just driving normal, that should be the same too. i guess it depends on your gear jump too. i'd probably have 1-2mpg less if i went to 4.10s.
