Hey, I was wondering...

Are MSD Ignition boxes supposed to actually make noise? Mine makes a annoying winding high pitch sound, and the sound even gets to a higher pitch as I hit the gas.

I don't think it's normal, but then again, I'm not sure..

Anyone know for a fact weather it's actually supposed to make a noise?

If not, then obviously it's bad and my problems will be fixed, because no one seems to know what exactly is wrong with my car.

i have an msd box and i really dont think it makes noise. ill go get my pay check and post again if I hear any noise.

 

The ignition box makes a small spinning type noise but the belts turning are way louder. I can only hear it if I put my ear close to it.

 

If it is making a loud enough noise that you can here over the engine then I would say something isn't right. I have one on my car as well and don't here anything from it over the engine.
