Default RE: HELP PLEASE! Problems still after replacing fuel pump

I FINALLY got it running today. Looks like what happened is the fuel pressure sensor went out causing the pump to run full throttle all the time. I thought since the pump was whining and engine was dying the pump was going bad. But what was happening is it was flooding the cylinders and I just killed it by replacing the pump with the SVT Focus pump with an even higher flow.. That's why it ran rich as hell after the pump install and died out. So replacing the pressure sensor fixed that problem. Aparently I needed some new plug wires too b/c it cranked up after I replaced those today. Ran really rough for a bit and some black stuff burned out the exhaust but now it seems to be running good again. The O2's were probably caked up with all the unburned fuel and after they got hot it burned off. So I'm going to drive it out tonight and hopefully not get left on the side of the road. Thanks for all the help.

Cool, I thought you had already replaced that. But anyways, congrats on getting running again.

Thanks. Well I took it out tonight and it ran alright but was idling really low and stalled on me once at a light. I think I'm going to pull the O2's out and clean them. Anyone knopw what would be best and safe to clean them with?
