I have an 86 V-6 mustang convertible,my son rolled his 93 sedan so I put the seats in,then car would not start.Fuel pump was replaced by reputable mechanic 9 months ago.Fusible link is good inertia switch was also OK.I went to the forum here and read other threads and found out there is a fuel pump relay under seat.wires were greenish blue and yellow one was pulle out of relay.I tried jumping relay but no luck.I bought a new relay and cleaned wires and connections, car started first try but fuel pump wont turn off now.I disconnected battery but please community what is wrong now
the relay only goes in one way and nothing else was altered how does the 12 volts cut off to relay maybe I can improvise but I hate to cut any original wires.
