high idle??

Default high idle??

i have a 94 GT manual and sometimes when i start my car the idle will jump up to around 1700 for about 15 secs and then drop back to the normal 7-800. The CEL flashes while it is doing this and then goes off. what would cause this?

try cleaning your maf had the same thing with my 95 and that took care of it (if you dont know how to do it try google)

either dirty idle air control or possibly engine coolant temp sensors... CLEANNN
