I need help with 4 cyl to v8 convertion

Default I need help with 4 cyl to v8 convertion

I wnat to put a 5.0 motor into my 89 mustang , but i need to know if there are any parts that im going to need for the convertuon to work. Right know i have the motor the transmition wireing and computer , drive shaft . Is there anything else i need besides motor mounts ?

I think your k member wll be ok, if your running dual exhaust, the h-pipe mounts to a plate between the trans and the trans mount, youll one for a v8 cuz the 4 and 6 cyl ones have only one side mount, whereas the v8 have two. also I think the bellhousing is different between 4 cyl and v8 cars , if yours is a 5-speed its no bigdeal, but if its an auto you may need a new trans cuz the bellhousing and case are one piece I think.

although not required you should think about the V8 brakes

crossmember is ok, rearend will hold if a person doesnt act like a idiot. brakes will also be ok but its always better to upgrade.
