Default new keys

I recently purchased a 2000 GT but the owner only had 1 key. What am I looking at to get another one? They said they would pay for it but I dont want to get them ripped off. I read on another forum if you only have 1 key, you have to get the car reprogrammed and buy 2 new keys.

Can anyone explain to me how it works/what price im looking at?

They key is chipped, you'll have to buy a key and have it cut and programmed at the dealership. You should only have to buy one key. It won't be cheap.

70-110 sounds about right.
