ok guys. 99 DX, stock except for cat back and a TDO4 running 8 psi, greddy intercooler. lowering springs etc. says he can "smoke my ***." mind you my GT has several bolt ons including gears headers intake etc.... and soon to have new heads intake manifold injectors throttle body etc.... what do you guys think?

 

Go easy on the ricer and try not to make him look too bad, he obviously has alot to learn Nah... just show him who his daddy is! I feel sorry for guys who spend that kinda money on their car, talk smack, and then get raped by the guy their talking smack too ^^

I saw a civic running 8 lbs of turbo boost and had full exhaustat the track about a year ago. It ran 15.8's and 15.9's. Remember those motors stock only put out like 115 hp, add 8 lbs boost and they still only have about 190 hp. Thats about the same as a V6 mustang, and they arent a whole lot lighter than one.

 

the DX came with 106 i believe. he's got a few minor things, i saw the setup today. ignition, some crane valvetrain parts. he told me he was shooting for around 170 fwhp when he put it in the shop. he had a 60 shot, running 15.7 earlier this year. i tried to tell him a turbo won't help much more than that 60 shot. he's going to dinwiddie saturday, i plan to go along to watch, but due to lack of drag radials i probably wont run.

 

The things are slow as s**t. With 60 shot and only 15.7? So it's not an exception...same thing happened to me up here, but with a 15.8, and eh still got smoked by the tupperware econobox. Granted, smoked in motors as small as mine is a small margin....but he wasn't happy he got beat by a Saturn and he had juice.

 

are these cars you guys are speaking of running on DR's or street tires? this guy is running some type of drag radial, im not sure what.
