Technically it's a 5.7 liter, although Ford lists it as a 5.8 liter.

Rule of thumb: 61.1 cubic inches per liter will get you pretty darn accurate on all your liter/cubic inch conversions.

Actually, one liter is equal to 61.023 cubic inches.

And the 351 IS a 5.8, not a 5.7....

Chevy 350 = 5.7
Ford 351 =5.8

so one cubic inch is 1/10 of a litre?

its the way it rounds. 350/61.023=5.73 rounds to 5.7, 351/61.023=5.75 rounds to 5.8.

wow do you have one/planning to get one?a blue 1973 mach 1 4 speed was my first car. the paint job in the beginning was faded pretty bad. the car was over 15 years old though so what do you expect? after almost 3 years i had it painted. i had that car for 6 years, and for a 15/21 year old car it was something else. it was really powerful for being almost stock. didn't have too many problems with it, and i kicked myself in the ***** for selling it. i talked to the guy over 2 years later that i sold it to. he said he didn't even get 6 months out of it when he slammed it into the side of a building bad. what a bummer.at first iwanted a chevette, but rather than a tiny car with not much get up i went for the bigger car with A LOT more get up.
