I just bought an 01 gt 5-speed last friday, i'm starting to look for some mods I can do, and I think I want to get a short shifter, problem is I dont know weither its a T-5, T3650, a T45, or what it is, I just know its 5-speed. any guesses??

 

check out the tag on your car it should tell you what tranny you have.

if not you can tell by the number of screws on the valve head, the water pump pulley (the 99-01.5 was piggybacked or whatever they call it), couple other ways but just look on that tag on the door frame that has your vin number i think it tells you the tranny.

go to mgwltd.com go under mustangs...its a short shifter site...it will tell u how to find out exactly what tranny u have so u can buy the right shifter...what i used to figure out my 01 had an t3650(crap!!!)
