ok so i own a 2001 mustang gt bullit and the tranny apperently went bad. ford says all 5 synchros are bad best part is...car only has 35k miles. my question is can a transmission from a 04-06 be put in it and fit without modification's since they are the tr-3650 which is what is in my stang right now and if not does anyone know if a good rebuilt site that i could get one in the 700-800 range? any suggestions on what i can do?.

 

i really don't know cause ford sometimes makes it complicated where a certain trans is only compatible to that motor or just anything, fuel pump, water pump, ac compressor. then again ever since the computer car things have changed as well. summit racing may have a tranny rebuild kit. they have a motor rebuild kit i plan on getting for my 03 mach 1.
