Default Power or manual steering rack?

I found out I need a new rack and pinion...Go figure, I just replaced the bloody inner right tie rod. I was wondering, does anyone have a manual setup? I am wondering if the steering would be too tough. Ive had manual steering in a 99 miata...big weight difference though. Or should I just stick with getting another power rack.

if you had a manual rack in your miata you should be used to it? my guess is that it's fairly similar.
i'm getting a manual rack when it's time for a new one. i think it looks cleaner, no powersteering pump to mess with, lighter....
but it's up to you. might want to consider it if it's a dd.

I have a Flaming River manual rack in my 91. It is stiff during parking manuevers but once you are moving it is fine. There is no more one handed steering while taking corners quickly. I bought the car like that and I enjoy the feel that come with it though.
