Default SUBFRAME CONNECTORS for a 91' LX

Hey, I am wondering how to make some subframe connectors for my 91' LX. Like I need specific directions. SO, if you think you can help me out tell me.

I don't know the specific directions.

1. What you can do is go out and cut down two stop signs.
2. Take the metal pole and measure out the length where the SFC's will be welded onto your car.
3. Cut the poles to the correct length and then weld them onto your car.

I have heard that the Metal poles from stop signs are strong enough to be used as SFC's. This will give you some cheap and easily made SFC's. I sort of wish that I would have tried that before I bought mine. lol

Someone else might be able to come in and give you a better idea though, or correct me if I am wrong.

+1, id much rather pay the $150 for some real subframe connectors than to pay the lawyer fees for when you get caught hacking down 2 stop signs. probably not the brightest idea. but the only way to really make subframe connectors if you dont have dimensions or anything is look at pictures of how some are made online and then you can base yours of of that and just measure under the car where they will connnect...

That is why you don't get caught. Have you neither one ever stole a sign before?

It really isn't that hard. And if people are worried about getting in trouble with the law you can go buy the steel. Go toyour county's road services and ask if you can buy a 10-15 foot section of steel poling. I have did it before, I forget how much it cost but it wasn't expensive that is for sure.

yeah man I made some for my 89 gt and it was cheaper than buying them and a lot stronger. Only thing is that you have to take quite a bit of time to put them in yourself.
I used 2"x2" 14 guage tubing for my connectors. I bought a lot of it thought because I put a cage in my car and did not want to just mount it to the floor so I pretty much made a frame, but all of the steel (like 20 feet) cost me around $70.00. So it is cheaper to buy the steel, but you have to fabricate and whatnot which costs time.

GO TO THE RECYCLING FACILITY.

Plenty of those stop sign post, and other forms of raw material that can be easily be ground, welded and drilled for change, or a few dollars.
