ON a fuel injected engine, it is the intake, made from aluminum

But seriously. It's the big aluinum part that says 5.0 H.O., or Cobra. there are upper and lower portions.

So the upper intake manifold? That's what I've always known it as. But I've read talk about a plenum...good thing you asked I was curious myself.

the intake plenum is technically the box like portion of the intake after the throttle body and before the individual branches go off to the intake ports on the heads.
