Default Hood and Side Scoops

My 2000 GT obviously didnt come with the scoops that the newer cars come with. Lookin around, i found some that werent terribly expensive, but they are primed. Anyone know how much it would cost to get a hood scoop and 2 side scoops painted, or if they make any that are already painted. the car is sonic blue, so maybe they have some out there somewhere.

I got a hood scoop for my 99 coupe. I ordered it for around $100 (i forget where it was from, but i know i ordered it from an ad in muscle mustangs and fast fords magazine). I took it to a quality body shop and they matched the paint up perfectly, and i had them install it as well. All in all it ended up totaling $300(100 for part 200 for paint and install) Not a bad deal and it greatly improves the look of the car.

I have a sonic blue GT also. I bought a Saleen bumber for my car and I got a qoute of $402 to just paint the bumber. Mabye that will give you a ball park figure. I think Sonic blue is a more expensive color to make.

A friend of mine said that putting an aftermarket scoop on a mustang leaves an ugly body gap. Lookin around on the net, i didnt see what he was talking about. Can anyone tell me how it ends up looking?

They're not talking about an aftermarket scoop; they're talking about the stock '01+ scoop, so it should fit fine without any problems.
