use a frikin relay man. it's not like it takes a rocket scientist to wire it up. and it is the safest route...it's never recommended to just run JUST a switch on an electrical circuit b/c most switches can't handle it...the switch is only safe to use on the wiring powering the relay (b/c it's a much lower amperage)...and why get messy with a switch when you can use a probe in its place. that way you'll never have to worry about turning your fan on. why go cheap on a nice car? you don't want the fan running at all times either because it will take your car forever to warm up...especially on cooler days.

PS-this post may sound a little confusing, hah...just do research on relays and their importance.
