Default Clutch and trans

Hey, need 2 know bout a clutch spring return? Is there supposed to be 1 on my '91 with a t-5? And why not? Wouldnt it keep the throw out bearing off of the pressure plate? Also, the freakin speedo gear on the output shaft moved on me. Do I need to remove the trans for this fix? Has anyone else had this problem?

no, dont hear any noise really, still tuning car in, what i thought was the throw out bearing was actually spark knock. Just being a dumptruck mechanic, all of my trucks have return springs, and i have actually seen a throw-out bearing wear thru a pressure plate!

The throwout bearing stays on the pressure plate fingers. Don't worry about a return spring.
