I have an 86' 5.0 gt and it was almost stolen, but fortunately the thieves were caught before they could make off. My ignition was pulled out andI have since had it replaced, but now my car shuts off when i turn the steering wheel. What could be causing this..

 

sounds like the wires to your ignition system are shorting out, somethings grounding out in there, take your steering colomn off and have a looks see in there, see if any wires are twisted, shorted out andsee if there is any bare wire showing on the wires for your igintion.
