Default rack and pinion???

looking at buying a new rack and pinion setup for my 4cyl 1993 stang. when taking hard right turns, as i turn the steering wheel back to the straight position, something in the front left makes a popping noise of some sort. sounds like bushings are going out or something in the rack. what do yall think it might be? im totally cool with getting a new rack but just needed to know where the best place might be to find one. advanced auto parts? autozone? or should i go to the local mustang shop. i have a mustangs unlimited within thirty minutes of me.

thanks for any and all input!
Brian
