I have a bbk cai and I was trying to get to the K&N to clean it but I cant figure it out. I cant get the filter through the hole. I tried removing the bottom part of the intake from the upper portion and rotating it 20 different ways. Do I have to seperate the filter from the intake itself and pull it out the bottom of the car? How will I put it back together?

Any tips/guides would be appreciated. I cant drive it until I clean it because it needs cleaning really bad. And it sucks because its my DD.

 

Probably, if the filter won't fit through the hole in the fender you have to undo it and take it out the bottom. That's how I installed mine the first time, it's awkward but doable.

 

How will i put it back up if i drop it out the bottom? Its next to impossible to reach up there.
