Default loud boom!!

ok very werid problem here. everytime i turn the ignition off or turn the key on the speakers in my car make a loud boom. if im outside of the car and hit the lock unlock on my keyfab i can hear it inside also. i have an aftermarket alarm system by pursuit. alarm is not new and just started today. no new mods or anything of the such. anyone have any experience with this?

go to your local radio sound and have a tech come out and take a look.

sounds to me like an amp problem. do you have the mach system or an aftermarket stereo system? this is very common if you do. im not sure why it would make it with the key fob locking or unlcoking the car though. the system must be wired into the alarm system?

Yep, sounds to me like whoever installed your stereo did a crappy job and tapped into the wrong power wires.

there was a problem like this in the audio section if you buy a new headunit and tap it to the mach system i think. you had to solder a resistor in because the stock amps didnt like the 12v remote so they would crack real bad when you first turn the car on.

im almost positve its the alarm because ill walk away from the car after i lock it and ill hear it one more time

alirght guys figured it out!!! the amps are in the back of the car behind the seats right? right under my leaky convertible top right? this sucks!
