windows roll up too high!
Ok I just bought a 99 GT with 30K miles, and the driver side window will roll up too high (so that the door will not shut, and the window will bulge out and not up where it should go when I shut the door)
I somewhat solved the problem by not rolling it up "all the way", but unfortunately it sits out at night, and Im not real happy with having the window not 100% securely up.
Anyone else have this problem? Any ideas on an easy fix?

there are a couple stops inside of the door that determine how high the window can roll up. Stuck to the stops are pieces of rubber that get compressed over time and allow the window to roll up higher than it should. If you pull the interior door panel off you can get at the stops. Istuck a new piece of hard rubber (about 1/4" thick) over the the old rubber and then re-adjusted. now its better than its ever been!

Another thing it might be is (though I doubt it), your window isn't all the way down in the motor arm, so it's not clamped all the way down. Just check all of that stuff. It's probably what pete1665.
Sounds like the window came unglued out of one of the arms and is sitting on top ofit rather than in it. Pull off the door panel and glue it back down. Don't continue to roll it up and down or you will end up bending the tracks like I did and have to replace the whole thing..
