I was thinking about getting a performace programmer for a 97 gt. any ideas on one?

 

what you could do is have a chip burnt exspecially for your setup, programmers just fool the stock computer settings, and dyno shop they can properly tune everything and burn u a chip. might be more money then the programmer. Talk to the techs at Anerson Ford the carry the PMS and the Predetor for your car

hand held programmers do NOT "fool" the PCM , they reprogram it .

 

Get one that allows idle to redline timing changes.That way you can at least pick up some gas mileage at normal driving speeds.
