Blown Fuse for a Cigarrete Lighter / Power Outlet
I think this is the problem, but I'm not sure. A few months ago my cigarette and power outlet just stopped working. I decided to fix it now (because my phone keeps dying and I need to charge it D
I looked up the diagram for the fuses, but it said that the fuse that controls the Cigarette Lighter also controlled the Power Seat and "Power Point" (whatever that is), and the power seats are working, at least. So, I'm not too sure.
I have a '98 Mustang Coupe.
If it's the fuse, does anyone know which one and where it's located? (I.E. in the cabin or the engine bay)

i think on the 98s there is another power outlet in the consol. at least my 01 was like that and most the interior is very close to the same. the dash lighter port wont work for a phone charger. again this is coming from my knowledge of my 2001 so i may be wrongg but im pretty sure

No, it will. But, even still: the power outlet on the console doesn't work either... and I tried to heat up my cigarette lighter and it wouldn't heat up.

I have the SAME problem in my '98 GT. The guy I bought it from said that the "element" gets burnt out after awhile and you can buy new ones from Autozone. I haven't really looked into it yet, but I will do some searching.

Check the fuses under the hood. Normally the outlets will blow the fuses under the dash but one time I had to change one in the relay box to get them working again.
