hot center console?
I've had my mustang for about 3 weeks, and i just noticed that the center console gets HOT while driving, like, hot to the touch. i have a steeda short shifter in the car, and i know there is pretty much NO material between the plastic trim around the shifter, and the underside of the car... i figured that maybe the aluminum from the shifter is transfering a lot more heat through the console than the stock shifter would. But, i just dont know. so, has anybody else experianced this hot console problem? is it normall???
thanks

O ya now I remember on the Drive to Texas I had to keep checking to see if the heat was on. Ya that normal. Pretty sur that the X pipe will move that cats back farther. Thats my suggestion
My console always got warm especially around town. There is very little or no insulation under the console. The heat is from the floor which is ultimately from the exhaust sitting right under it. The car would have benefited from a heat shield in the tunnel but stangs are built economically...not alot of extra like that.
