Just save you're pennies until you can upgrade to another car.

The V6 model is for getting the "Mustang Look" .. not for going fast or sounding good.

Have you test driven the s197 v6? They have a good kick for a 6-cylinder

*sigh* i wont be able to get a new car probably for another 4 years...
i guess im just gonna have to live with getting a dual exhaust, maybe an intake and then do all that other cosmetic ****....

-EDIT: hey i just thought of something... what if i set my goal to 275 HP ( what i really want is over 250 but i dont want to fall short)
is that more realistic? if so, what could i do about that?

i agree with everyone else, just save your money. My first car was a V6 mustang and i only has an intake and an exhaust. I just saved up until i had enough to buy myself a car that served as a better platform. If you have to keep the car for 4 years i would look int just an intake/exhaust/gears and maybe a 50/75 shot. You should be able to do that for about $1,500 and will put you around 275hp (thats assuming the drivetrain will hold this without any upgrades). im not sure how well the v6's handle nitrous so you might want to check around the V6 section for some answers

a 50/75 shot is a 50 / 75 shot of horsepower in the form of Nitrous Oxide.

The drivetrain is your engine, transmission, driveshaft, differentials ect...

and by gears, he means to swap your gears out for a taller gear ratio such as 4.10:1 or 3.73:1

here's an article on gear ratio if you're interested:
