Adhesive advice
I am looking for an automotive adhesive that can bond a plastic whose type is unknown to me to a urethane bumper. It needs to be pretty high strength and has to withstand moderate temperatures. I need this to connect my Roush fog lamp bracket to the bumper since the mounting studs have come loose. If anyone knows of a good glue to use please post it. Thanks.
not sure if you are looking for a tape or a liquid adhesive of some sort, but 3m makes a great double sided tape. you can pick it up at most auto parts stores for about $5 a roll. its basically the same tape that is used to stick emblems to car panels. if im not mistaken, its prob 1/8" thick grey foam with a red backing.
To make things more clear I am looking for a liquid. I have considered tape but the bracket doesn't seem to have any good places to put it. I've heard of others using a liquid body glue but I'm not sure what kind to get.
For a liquid get Valvoline Plyogrip. I think you can get it at autoparts stores, if you can't they can order it. It is what they use to fix cracked plastic bumpers so it should work for you
