Default Truck mounted battery, cut off question.

I have a 93 coupe with the battery mounted in the truck. The positive lead runs through a switch under the bumper.

NHRA track rules state the engine must die when the switch is thrown. I cheated tech twice by leaving the lights and rear window defrost on. The load is high enough to force the engine to die without the batteries help but regardless what is the easiest way to be legal?

Put another switch under the hood that disconnects the alternator power. When racing turn the alternator switch off first, the ignition system will then be 100% powered by the battery.
