I have a 95 Gt that I don't like the stopping power in. Anyone done the front 13 conversion? If so did you upgrade the rears too or would I need a to adjust front to rear brake bias in the master cylinder in order to maximize braking? FYI it is already 4 wheel disc being a 95 GT.

I was looking at the Cobra or Bullitt calipers (dual piston? or are they quad?) Not sure of their size. Wow I didn't even realize they had inline proportioning valves, that great.

there stuff you have to figure out , how much area i belive the two pistons have and if it works with the stock bore size you , ya know all that hydralic stuff , but to make it simple just see if the cobra has the same master that you have , and if you need any fine tuning and inlint valve will do also , im just sure someone done this before and you can just find out the info and go . i just dont know off the the top of my head . illl poke oround and see if i can find somethin K.

Upgrade the rears as well.
No sense in upgrading the front just to knock down the braking power to stock levels to keep things in balance
Get ready to ride some massive rims too.

Good point, the easiest route is to find out if the Cobra's use the same part number for the master. If not it would be easiest to swap in the cobra master.

Jeep as for knocking down the braking power to stock levels, I wouldn't mind being slightly biased towards the front as thats where the majority of stopping power comes from anyway, obviously the optimal thing is to upgrade both, and I will consider that for sure. As for rims I have the AFS Cobra R's 17 X8 front and 17 x 10.5 rear. I'm pretty certain I've seen these on cobras with no prob.

A little update to this FYI, 17 inch rims are necessary. The cobra's used a different master cylinder. The gt had a single 66 mm piston the cobra used 2 36 mm pistons. Here is a great site for researching options.

Actually I have the larger bore master! It is a 95 GT we're talking about bore of 1 1/16 as opposed to the Cobra's 15/16 bore. The cobra has a larger booster set up so maybe running the stock booster and MC might be acceptable. I guess I'll start with the caliper disc upgrade and see what the pedal action is like as well as evaluating front/rear bias.
