i dont know exactly what they do or how they install. i do know that the change the way the axle is sucured in the housing. the stock axles use a c-clip to retain the axle, but this kit uses another way to do it.

what are c clip eliminators?
they are a different type of axle retention device that were used before C-clips became popular.
with a stock axle using C-clips, the small clip fits into a groove almost at the end of the axle, and if the axle shears off and breaks, there is nothing to hold the axle in the rear end since the axle bearing is not a press fit onto the axle shaft. the broken axle can work its way right out of the axle tube taking the wheel/tire with it and cause a big handling problem or wreck.
the C-clip eliminator kit uses a different axle bearing which is pressed fit onto the axle shaft along with a bearing retainer which is also pressed on. there is a plate that bolts onto the end of the axle housing which contains the oil seal and this plate combined with the pressed on bearing and retainer will keep the axle in place in the rear end even if it breaks at the splines inside the differential.
drag racing sanctioning bodies have rules that say any car running slicks must use "positive axle retention devices" to prevent the wheel from falling off the car if an axle breaks. the C-clip eliminator kits provide this required "positive axle retention device" so the car can legally run with drag slicks.
I once saw an old Chevy break the right rear axle when they launched the car at the line and the wheel/tire came loose, got pinched between the track and the fender and shot out about 10 feet up in the air toward the Xmas tree, came down just missing the tree and bounced on down the track!
