Default Starter Help

OK so im fixing friends 87 bonneville... car does nothing when u turn the key, bbut battery fully charged.. with headlights on and turn th ekey they dont flicker either, so i suppose the started is shot.. My question is, Is there anyway to get the car started with a bad starter?.. i want to get the car to my garage to fix it instead of doing it in the street.

well really starters are easy to replace if they are like the old mustangs with the cylinoid. you are goin to have to replace it anyways, so do it on the street, then drive it into your garage.
