how do you get the stock automatic shifter off???

I would like to know as well. That bolt is hard to get to.

 

I got the AOD shifter out yesterday. There are only 4 bolts holding it down. I did have to loosen the center console in order to pull up the plate that the shifter is attached to. After that a few twist and turns to manuever it out. It should take you 30 minutes tops to do. That's given if you have already disconnected the wiring from the trans.
