Shifting getting tad tougher
Happy birthday to my 2000 v6.... Just went over 80,000 miles on its clock and within the past few hundred miles i've really started to notice that shifting into different gears isn't as smooth as it used to be, as well as my clutch has a weird pressure to it like I have never felt before..
I figure that the clutch is probably due for a replacement, its gettin older but still runs like a champ, is there anything else that could be causing this (just making sure all my bases are covered).. how much could I get someone to install the clutch (mostly due to the fact my brother and I lack a lot of the tools, other than we could probably get it done ourselves)
and anyone recommend a good clutch by personal experience?
Please and thank you for any help that can be offered.

RE: Shifting getting tad tougher
Well, as a matter of a fact my clutch just went out. It had the original clutch in it at roughly 180,000 miles. I just got a stock clutch kit for about 200 from auto zone. The every place I called wanted at least 325 to install it if you have your own parts. So at least 500 for parts and installation. I didn't realize that my clutch was weird until it got changed. Then I realized how it was actually supposed to be. The clutch was really loose feeling and when I would let off the clutch it would come up to high and tick. But since I had mine replaced it is tight and firm, and back to the way it's suposed to be.
